With almost 300 signatures on an online petition to change Chelsea’s trick or treat hours from 4-6 p.m. to 5:30-7:30 p.m., resident Danya Hallsell has asked the City Council to consider later hours for the Oct. 31 event, and will make a presentation at the beginning of the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Also on the agenda is a presentation about the Chelsea Area Fire Authority 1.8 mill tax levy renewal that’s on the November ballot and AATA will give a presentation about its 5-year transit plan.

A street party on Summit Street, a meeting of the Sylvan ad hoc committee with the Department of Environmental Quality, and an appointment to the city’s Economic Development Committee are also on tap.

The city manager and the police chief will give reports at the end of the meeting.
