County dispatch announces new non-emergency number

Washtenaw Metro Dispatch has implemented a new telephone number for non-emergency calls.

Effective immediately, the new non-emergency number is 734- 994-2911, and this number should be used to contact Washtenaw Metro Dispatch for non-emergency business.

The other phone numbers that you might be currently using will be eliminated in the near future.

The new number will be answered by professional call takers, according to the press release.

“This change will improve call management and enhance the service we provide to both citizens and public safety personnel,” the release said.
