Award-winning author Cynthia Furlong Reynolds will host a free workshop “Writing Your Life Story,” sponsored by Chelsea Area Historical Society on Monday, April 8, from 7-8 p.m. at the Chelsea Depot.

Have you promised your family that you’d write your life story or someone else’s, but you don’t know how to begin?

Have you ever struggled with writer’s block?

Do you feel swamped with letters, notes, and ideas, but you don’t know how to organize them into a compelling narrative?

Are you confused about the process of writing: how plot, structure, tone, voice, and point of view work?

Do you worry that you don’t know how to get from the beginning to the end of a project?

These are just some of the topics that will be covered during the workshop.

Reynolds believes that writing should be fun – as much fun as a night spent around a campfire consuming s’mores and great stories.

She will discuss how to split a writing project—no matter how large or daunting—into easy-to-complete parts so that the job of writing becomes an exciting adventure, not a daunting task.
