(Chelsea Update would like to thank Joseph Yekulis, public relations director Servants of Charity at the St. Louis Center.)
Two well known members of the local Servants of Charity congregation at St. Louis Center of Sylvan Township were honored for their 45 years in the priesthood.
The special 45th anniversary celebration mass honored Fr. Fortunato Turati, SdC., and Fr. Joseph Rinaldo, SdC. on Feb. 27, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Village Church in Dexter.
More than 300 people were present for the celebration and a reception followed in the parish hall hosted by the Cardinal O’Hara 4th Degree Assembly of the Knights of Columbus.
Turati recently accepted a transfer to Mt. St. Joseph in Lake Zurich, Ill, a residential care facility for women with developmental disabilities run by the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence.
Both priests have served as administrator of St. Louis Center in Sylvan Township at different points in their careers.
Beautiful article, Mr. Yekulis. You’re doing a terrific
job. I’m certain your efforts are very much appreciated
by the Servants of Charity and SLC. It was a very
enjoyable evening.
