If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, join the Chelsea Senior Center for a delicious lunch and a feast for your imagination during the fourth annual Festival of Tables on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Get your tickets early because you don’t want to miss this creative event for all ages.

Various community members and groups will once again decorate tables with fun and unique themes.

The lineup for this year includes themes such as “Mad Hatters Tea Party”, “Legos  World”, “Historical Baseball”, and “Dr. Seuss” to name a few. This fabulous community event is a great opportunity for local groups and businesses to decorate a table that features their mission and creativity. Among those coming back for more fun will be the Adult Learners Institute, Chelsea Monitors Baseball, Ballet Chelsea, the Chelsea District Library, Friends of the Library, Chelsea Historical Society, and the Garden Mill.

Jennifer Fairfield, owner of the Garden Mill, says, “We are thrilled to participate once again in The Festival of Tables. It’s a fabulous event, not only as a fundraiser for the Chelsea Senior Center, but also as a way to interact with the community. It’s always great meeting new people and chatting with old friends; all the while enjoying a delicious catered lunch. Plus, the tables. The creative and elaborately decorated tables are so much fun, you don’t want to miss this event.”

Tickets are $20, and must be purchased in advance at the Chelsea Senior Center. The ticket price includes a delicious lunch provided by Laura’s Catering and the ever popular Common Grill rolls. Event tickets also provide a chance to vote for the most creative table, and additional voting tickets may be purchased to “stuff the ballot box.”

This annual event is chaired by local resident, Sharon Pignanelli, “As the event is now celebrating its 4th year, you may think you have already seen every table theme possible, but this year is full of new and exciting surprises.”

The event will once again be held at St. Mary Parish Hall on Old US-12 with doors opening at 11 a.m. for viewing and voting on the different themed tables. Lunch will be served at noon.

All proceeds from this event help support the Chelsea Senior Center, a 501(c) 3 non-profit. The center’s mission is to promote, encourage, and organize activities that address the physical, social, and emotional concerns of Chelsea area senior citizens and their families.
