Feb. 20: Skins, Scat and Skulls at Eddy Discovery Center

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kathy Claflin for the information in this story and the Waterloo Natural History Association for sponsoring it.)

SKINS, SCAT AND SKULLS:  2–3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20 at Eddy Discovery Center.

Naturalist and educator Dave Szczygiel will bring his large collection of Michigan animal skins, skulls, and other interesting specimens for you to handle and examine.  Learn how various creatures use their specialized body parts for survival and how you can recognize animal signs in the wild.

The program will begin outdoors where many of the specimens will be displayed followed by a walk to look for evidence of animals living around the Discovery Center.  After the walk, participants may go inside to see additional specimens. Bring a mask to wear inside.

Cost: $2/person or $5/family. Eddy Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Road in the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea.

Advance registration required at (734) 475-3170 as this program is limited to 30 people.
