Free sneak peak of Great Lakes Zoological Society zoo offered Thursday

File photo.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the Great Lakes Zoological Society invites up to 20 people on a free, hour-long, “sneak peek” program, which offers people a way to view the zoo, learn about its history, see where it’s going, and receive a guided tour.

Founded by Mark and Jane Creswell, who have a business in Chelsea, the zoo experience is led by Executive Director Eric Tobin, who personally guides visitors through the experience.

The event is free and begins at 6:30 p.m., but it is limited to 20 people and is by invitation only. To request an invitation, contact Tobin at the zoo at 734-332-1628 or email him at [email protected].

The zoo is located at 6885 Jackson Ave. in Scio Township, and light refreshments will be offered.

And, for those of you who can’t make it Thursday, another sneak peek will take place on Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m., so request your invitation now.
