The peaches will be plentiful at the Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market.

Fruit lovers are invited to load up on blueberries, cherries, plums, melons, and apples, too.

August means a big variety of fresh vegetables will be available including sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, beets, onions, and much more.

Plants and flowers will be for sale and so will fresh baked breads, cookies, cakes and muffins.

You’ll also find seasonings and freshly made hot sandwiches.

The market is located at Palmer Commons on Main Street and runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

This week’s music will be provided by Lilly MacPhee.

There is a new regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
