The fruits of summer are now available at the Chelsea Farmers Markets. Come visit this Wednesday to buy freshly picked peaches, cherries, and blueberries.

You’ll also find a variety of fresh baked goods at the market along with kettle corn.

Visit the market manager’s booth if you’d like to purchase market mugs, t-shirts, and canvas bags.

The Wednesday market runs from 1-5 p.m. and is located in the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, at 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52.

There is a new regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.

To learn more about what to expect each week at the farmers markets, visit the website at www.chelseafarmersmkt.org, visit the Chelsea Farmers Market Facebook page, or e-mail [email protected].
