Plants, salad greens, microgreens, herbals, baked goods, sausage, cheeses, crafts, jewelry, aprons, photographs, and more will all be for sale at the Wednesday outdoor Chelsea Farmers Market this week, just in time to look for Mother’s Day gifts.

The market runs from 1-5 p.m. and is located in the Chelsea State Bank parking lot at 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52.

Sol Microgreens is one of this season’s new vendors. Sisters Kira and Lena Sixbery from Jackson are starting their dream of owning a sustainable farm and restaurant with their microgreens business.

Kira is a 2020 graduate of Les Cheneaux Culinary School where she learned how to use microgreens, while Lena is a graduate of the Agriscience program at Jackson Area Career Center. Both have volunteered at farms and CSAs in the area.
