Give the gift of health this holiday season

This year, you can “Give the Gift of Health” by purchasing a gift card for someone on your list from the Chelsea Wellness Center.

A gift card can be used toward membership, a variety of classes, programs and services at the Chelsea Wellness Center.

The Wellness Center has something for everyone to get and stay healthy this New Year and its degreed and certified staff can assist you along the way.

Aquacize for Arthritis, Yoga, Line Dancing and Tai Chi are just a few of the community fitness, mind-body and specialty classes that are available at the Center.

The Next Steps™ fitness programs are great for individuals who need more guidance to help them reach their goals. These 8-week programs are for individuals transitioning from or managing a medical condition or needing additional support to improve their level of physical activity.

Membership includes access to a variety of cardio, functional and strength training equipment, lap and therapy pools, an indoor track and a wide-variety of group exercise classes.

“Workout routines that incorporate a variety of different types of exercise provide numerous benefits, says Kari Goorhouse, fitness manager.

“Regularly scheduled fitness incentive programs, like the December Deck the Halls program help members stay motivated, encourage them to try new things and workout more often,” she says.

A massage gift card is also a great option for family and friends.

The Wellness Center’s licensed massage therapists provide massage 7 days a week.

“Enhanced circulation, decreased muscle tension, improved joint mobility, and stress relief a just a few of the many health benefits of massage,” says Sharon Fitzsimmons, member service manager.
