Chelsea’s Glee Cake & Pastry is offering a wedding cake tasting on Sunday, Feb. 17 at noon for brides, grooms and their families or guests.

The informal tasting takes place at Glee’s pastry shop at 117 S. Main Street.

Brides and grooms may attend free and additional guest tickets may be purchased for $5.

Participants will be able to sample a variety of cakes, desserts, specialty cupcakes and other goodies in addition to free coffee.

Glee Cake & Pastry has been creating custom wedding cakes for more than 25 years. They also offer several unique options including the “Glee” wedding dessert buffet and custom cupcake towers.

“Brides and grooms are looking for more options these days beyond the traditional formal wedding cake,” says Executive Pastry Chef Glee Havens in a press release.

She said, “Dessert buffets have become very popular and typically feature a variety of cakes, pastries, cupcake towers and other sweets. Guests at our tasting will get a chance to sample all of these desserts while our wedding consultants answer any questions they may have.”

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 734-475-3000 or stopping by in the cake and pastry shop person.

Space is limited and fills on a first come basis.

Brides or couples who book a wedding that day will receive a free anniversary cake certificate.

Additional dates for future wedding tastings are listed on their web site and Facebook page.

“With the wedding season just around the corner, this is always our busiest tasting so reserve early,” Haven said.

Glee Cake & Pastry can be found on Facebook here  or at the store’s website.
