The Chelsea Girl’s Track and Field Team took a limited squad to the prestigious Larry Steeb Meet of Champions on Tuesday, May 28.
The meet is an honor roll style with only the best of the best from Washtenaw area schools, says Shane Rodriguez, head girls track and field coach.
Grace Sauers once again lead the way for the Bulldogs with a 6th place finish in the 100 hurdles and 4th place finish in the 300 hurdles.
The 4×200 team also placed 4th.
Unfortunately, not all athletes could compete due to a tornado warning and storm delay, Rodriguez said, adding, “We hope for better weather when the team travels to Grand Rapids Saturday for the State Meet.”
