Here’s your chance to comment to MDOT

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is looking for your comments about its draft “Public Participation Plan.”

If you have something to say about the state’s plans for its roads, now’s your chance.

“The public plays an important role in shaping Michigan’s transportation system,” said Kirk T. Steudle, state transportation director, in a press release.

“Two-way communications can help raise awareness on important issues and lead to plans that best meet the ongoing transportation needs of the state. Early and continuous public involvement is critical to this process.”

MDOT has posted the document called its 2014-2017 State Transportation Improvement Plan Draft Public Participation Plan, on the MDOT Web site at www.michigan.gov/stip.

Comments on the draft plan will be accepted through Jan. 31, 2013.

They should be sent to Bob Parsons, public involvement and hearings officer, Bureau of Highway Development, Michigan Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 30050, Lansing, MI 48909, or e-mailed to [email protected].
