Home invasion in the 9000 block of Jackson Road

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bill and Roben Coury of the Lima Township Neighborhood Watch for the information in this story.)

There was a home invasion in the 9000 block of Jackson Road on Monday, Jan. 13 between 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The thieves kicked in the front door to gain entry, and the incident is under investigation by the Michigan State Police. They were on the scene for several hours getting fingerprints and other evidence.

This is a wake-up call for all of us.

Just because the weather is bad, the thieves aren’t taking a break. Please be vigilant as it is necessary for all of us to look out for each other.

Remember, what happens to our neighbors does affect us all.

Remember to keep some kind of digital camera available, so if you see something you can put it on candid camera.
