Is there a better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to be in the park for the annual Chelsea tree lighting ceremony in Pierce Park that gets things started during Hometown Holiday?
This year, the tradition continues on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in Pierce Park.
Santa arrives on a fire truck to the park to do the tree lighting honors. And, this year’s Chelsea Community Fair Queen Morgan Kern is expected to be there as well. In addition, the Chelsea High School chorus will sing.
The event kicks off the community’s three-day Hometown Holiday celebration, which takes place Dec. 6-Dec. 8.
