Palmer Auto Service, in collaboration with the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce’s Hometown Halloween, celebrated its 15th anniversary with the annual Hot Rod Halloween Car Show on Saturday, Oct.12.
With fantastic weather and a turnout of 68 vehicles on display, the event was a resounding success for the Chelsea community and auto enthusiasts alike.
The winners of this year’s show, chosen for their standout vehicles, were:
First Place: Keith Hume with his remarkable 1937 Ford Coupe
Second Place: Bernie Kranz with his classic 1932 Ford 500 Coupe
Third Place: Tom Heath with his expertly restored 1968 Pontiac Lemans
Owner Bob Mock extended his gratitude to everyone who helped make the event memorable. “Thank you to all the organizers, participants, and spectators who joined us in celebrating this milestone,” Mock said. “The community’s support has been invaluable over the past 15 years, and it was an honor to celebrate with so many people.”
In addition to showcasing beautiful vehicles, Palmer Auto Service is continuing the spirit of giving with its annual Toys for Tots and Teens toy drive for the upcoming Hometown Holiday season.
The company is collecting gift cards and new, unwrapped toys to support local families, with all donations going to Faith in Action (FIA) in Chelsea for distribution to area children and teens.
Palmer Auto Service encourages the community to participate in the drive, noting that “the smallest gift can mean the world to a child or teen in need.” Gift card donations may be securely dropped in Palmer’s key drop box, while new, unwrapped toys can be placed in a contactless collection box located outside Palmer Auto Service at 222 South Main St.
