The Chelsea Senior Center is offering a 3-week, intergenerational self defense program on Tuesdays, which is open to the whole community, beginning Tuesday, July 16 from 1-2 p.m.

The class is $5 per session or $15 for the three classes.

This program is designed to assist individuals in personal safety, situational awareness, and self defense.

Class 1 is geared toward all physical abilities, with increasing physical requirements by Class 3.

This class has been designed with seniors in mind, but the topics will apply to all ages.

The program is designed and taught by Michael Trester, owner of Commando Krav Maga Chelsea/Kitchi Tai Kwon Do. As a law enforcement officer, Trester is well versed in tactics and teaches from the perspective from someone who has been there.

Preregistration is required by calling 475-9242. Those interested can also click here for more information.
