(Publisher’s note: Because of the extreme weather, I did not attend Monday night’s Chelsea City Council meeting, however, I will be publishing several follow up stories this week about the proceedings.)
Among the items that were approved by the Chelsea City Council were the renewal of the city’s about $56,800 information technology contract with the City of Ann Arbor.
The 17-month contract costs for IT support will be spread over six funds — the general fund, the police department, the wastewater and water departments, the electric department and the stormwater fund.
Among the other approved items were setting a date of Wednesday, Feb. 5 date for the council’s annual visioning session, an open meeting that’s held with city staff at The Depot from 4-6 p.m., and a general fund budget work session planned for Monday, April 21 from 6-7 p.m. in the council chambers of the new police building.
The city council also approved a $22,000 per year dispatch contract for fire services between the city and the Chelsea Area Fire Authority.
