Jan. 8: Winter 2024 semester at Washtenaw Community College Begins

The first day of classes for the winter 2024 semester at Washtenaw Community College (WCC) will be Jan. 8.

Registration remains ongoing until the start of classes. The current fall semester officially ends Sunday.

Prospective students may apply for enrollment in a few easy steps at wccnet.edu/enroll.

Four start dates accommodate the flexible schedules of traditional and non-traditional students, as more than 40% of students are adult learners, many with family and job responsibilities. Courses with later start dates cover the same material at an accelerated pace.

Winter semester start dates are:

Session I – January 8

Session II – January 30

Session III – February 13

Session IV – February 29

WCC has recently been named as the Best Community College in Michigan in 2024 rankings by Niche.com and Intelligent.com and offers more than 135 programs to prepare students for rewarding careers or transfer to a university to earn a bachelor’s degree. Nearly 50 programs are fully online.

WCC’s in-district tuition of $99 per credit is among the lowest in Michigan. Combined with the many types of scholarships and financial aid assistance available, a college education is more affordable than ever.

The Michigan Reconnect Scholarship is a state program covering in-district tuition to help eligible adults who do not already have a degree. The state scholarship was recently expanded to lower the age of eligible applicants to 21. It is one of many available resources for students, including the new Michigan Achievement Scholarship for 2023 high school graduates.

Visit WCC to apply for admission and register for Winter 2024 Semester classes. Staff members are available to assist and answer questions through every step. For additional information call (734) 973-3543 or email go2wcc@wccnet.edu.
