The Beach Middle School wrestling team hosted its annual tournament on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Chelsea High School gym.
Eight teams participated in a dual meet, round robin style tournament, which included Holt, Jackson Northwest, Parma Western, New Boston Huron, Onsted, Addison, and Manchester.
Holt ended up winning the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record on the day.
The Beach Middle School team finished 3-2, beating Parma Western, Addison, and Onsted, while losing to Holt and Manchester.
Jason Skoczylas (3-0) Thomas Shemwell (2-0) and Colin Taliford (2-0) were undefeated during the tournament for the Bulldogs while Lucas Racine went 4-1 and Kam Mahoney went 3-1.
Many great performances were had by the young squad with lots of room for improvement.
