June 1: Buy Plants, Learn From Experts, Talk to Growers

The Native Plant Expo & Marketplace will offer more than 100 Michigan native plant species from Michigan growers, in one convenient location to shop – the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds – on June 1 beginning at 9 a.m.

Learn how to establish and maintain native plants and connect with local experts specializing in native landscapes. Huron River Watershed Council (HRWC) staff will host a table in shed D.

HRWC’s Ric Lawson will be presenting Rain Catchers: On Land and Shore at 10:40 am. He will be sharing great tips on how to tap into the power of plants to protect water.

Make a day of it and enjoy this family-friendly event at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds. Free admission for all. Saturday, June 1, 9 am-1 pm.

Pro tip: Bring a small cart with wheels or a box/container for your plants to make shopping and trips back to your car easier.
