The Chelsea Zero Waste Coalition will host Angela Porta, Environmental Education and Outreach Coordinator, of the Waste Reduction and Recycling division of Washtenaw County as its speaker at the group’s meeting on Wednesday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chelsea City Council Chambers, 311 S. Main St.
Porta will share information about county programs such as Waste Knot (Waste Knot helps organizations reduce their waste and increase their recycling, as well as recognizes community leaders in waste reduction through the Environmental Excellence Awards.), the School Recycling Program, scholarship programs and other supports available for increasing recycling in our communities.
