You are invited to attend the annual Strawberry Festival at the Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market this week.
From the time the market opens until they sell out, you can be part of a strawberry shortcake fundraiser. With strawberries from Kapnick and shortcakes from Kitchen Little, you can buy a strawberry shortcake for $6 each or two for $10.
There will also be plenty of strawberries for sale along with rhubarb, greens, and potatoes, seasonings, and herbs, plants, eggs, honey, and jam.
Enjoy freshly baked breads, cookies, muffins, and cakes as well as crafts including pottery, homemade aprons, doll clothing, soap, candles, and cards.
Kids will have a chance to make a craft for Father’s Day, and the Instrument Room will provide live music.
The market runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and takes place at Palmer Commons on Main Street.
To learn more about what to expect each week at the farmers markets, visit the website at www.chelseafarmersmkt.org, visit the Chelsea Farmers Market Facebook page, or e-mail coordinator@chelseafarmersmkt.org.
