Your Chelsea Bulldogs finished third and placed two runners in the Top 10 during the Jackson Invitational last weekend. David Trimas placed fifth and Jacob Stubbs finished 9th for the Bulldogs.

Coach Eric Swager said in his comments below that this was “a top notch meet” during which teams from the shores of four of the five Great Lakes participated, including the defending state champions from St. Clair.

A number of personal bests were recorded as well, including Trimas, who ran a 14-second personal record to lead the squad, the coach said.

In the JV race, three runners recorded personal bests — Nich Hoffman, Cole Phillips, and Abe Cone and Liam Heaney recorded a 17th-place finish while Bram Parkinson just missed the Top 20 finishing in 22nd.
