Three Chelsea High School administrators have decided to take another Polar Plunge to help Special Olympics’ Michigan athletes.
“We have decided to take the plunge yet again in support of our Special Olympic athletes here at Chelsea High School,” according to an email from Chelsea High School Principal Mike Kapolka.
He says the goal is to help raise funds for over 19,000 athletes who participate in Special Olympics Michigan.
For Kapolka, it will be his fourth plunge, for both Jeremy Barkey and Luman Strong, it will be their second year participating.
This year’s plunge will take place at The Big House at the University of Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 22 inside Michigan Stadium, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
