Kids Cooking Camp volunteers needed

The Chelsea Community Kitchen 2018 Summer Kids Cooking Program is looking for teacher aid volunteers and there are still a few openings in the classes as well.

For more details and to register: www.chelseacommunitykitchen.org/events.

Volunteers can work half-days or the full day; one day or all days at the camp at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, 128 Park St.

Anyone entering 9th grade and up is eligible to participate as a volunteer. Teacher Aid volunteers for all dates are needed.

This summer we will focus on “Starting the Day Right – Healthy Breakfasts You’ll Love!”

Teacher aids, along with the instructor, will help participants to gain hands-on experience with basic cooking skills and safe kitchen practices to foster confidence in the kitchen and have fun with cooking.

Teacher Aid Volunteers are also needed for our Summer Chef’s Club. Volunteers will help older youth to experience in-depth cooking techniques and knowledge, including a restaurant or farm field trip. This summer’s theme will be Italian cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Aids will also help with set-up and clean-up for each session.
