Lambs of Our Savior Christian Preschool is hosting an open house on Thursday, May 16 from 9-11 a.m. for the fall.

The preschool is located in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1515 S. Main St., next to McDonald’s.

There are two options, Heidi Friedel said via email. A 2 1/2 – 3-year-old class (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and a 4- to 5- year-old class (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 8:30- 11:30 p.m.

The program will run from Sept. 9 – May 16.

“We are committed to providing each child with a developmentally appropriate curriculum with a Christian focus,” she said.

Activities are based on children’s interests, abilities and age/developmental levels, and hands-on experiences are a large part of the day.

She said activities are offered daily to enhance physical, social, emotional, cognitive, creative and spiritual development.

“We plan daily for early math, science, and literacy activities as well as activities to enhance large and small muscle development, quiet and active play, child-initiated and teacher-directed activities, large and small group activities, Bible stories and activities and outdoor play.

“We believe in a holistic approach to early childhood education (God, family, child, and community),” she said, adding, “As a ministry of Our Savior Lutheran Church, we work together with the congregation for community service and outreach activities.”
