Lane Animal Hospital Participating in Trial Canine Cancer Screening

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Shayla Lane for the information in this story.)

Lane Animal Hospital is excited to offer the first non-invasive canine cancer screening available, Nu.Q.

For the next 8 weeks you are able to take advantage of the trial we are participating in and complete this lab test for $40.
It can be done on its own, or along with your dog’s annual bloodwork.

Pet must be fasted for minimum of 4 hours prior to the test for accurate results.

Currently, the test is only available for canines, hopefully our feline companions have the opportunity to be screened with this DNA technology soon.

It is recommended that all dogs over the age of 7 have a cancer screening completed annually, it is also recommended to start screening as early as 4 years old for the breeds listed below:

  • Beagle
  • Bernese Mountain Dog
  • Boxer
  • Flat Coated Retriever
  • German Shepherd
  • Golden Retriever
  • Great Dane
  • Irish Wolfhound
  • Labrador Retriever
  • Mastiff
  • Miniature Schnauzer
  • Pembroke Welsh Corgi
  • Rottweiler
  • Scottish Wolfhound
  • Siberian Husky

New pet patients are welcome to be a part of this trial.

Call us at 734-475-8696 to schedule an appointment with of our veterinarians.

(Publisher’s note: This is the trial I noted here and Buzz will be a participant.)
