(Chelsea Update would like to thank Rachel Michalsen for the courtesy photo of Lane Animal Hospital staff and the information in this story. And, you might recognize a couple of familiar doggy faces who took part in the event.)
About 30 pets had a chance to meet Santa Claus Saturday, Dec. 1 and have their photos taken with the jolly man in red – all for a good cause.
About $400 was raised for Lane Animal Hospital’s Angel Fund, which allows pets to receive the proper care in an emergency situation where treatment is needed immediately.
The fund is run completely by donations of those willing to help when owners are unable to afford necessary emergency medical care.
In addition to staff, one special client assisted with the festivities Saturday –
Arlene Ritz, greeted families when they arrived at the animal hospital.
If you missed it this year, be sure to add it to your Hometown Holiday list of events in 2019.
