Chelsea Area Fire Authority (CAFA) received some additional grant moneys with the help of Rep. Lasinski and Senator Gary Peters.
A grant was received and thermal imaging cameras were purchased to aid firefighters in finding trapped victims in a smokey environment. $104,193 was spent but there was $73,862 was left over and could be used for other equipment but was being held up for approval.
Chief Rob Arbini made some calls to Rep. Lasinski who reached out to Senator Peters.
Senator Peters reached out to FEMA to secure the remainder of the funds. Together, they both quickly helped our area obtain needed rescue equipment.
I felt the people of our area should know how our representatives helped them.
