To the Editor:
I am writing in support of the November 5th bond renewal for the Chelsea School District.
This is not a new tax, but a renewal of a previous bond.
As a long-time teacher in the district, this bond will directly impact the way that I meet student needs as well as provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for students.
Creating a positive and safe environment for students is where it all starts. This bond renewal will not only help update aging buildings, but also provide money to update classroom furniture, much of which is in desperate need of replacement.
This new furniture will also help as we move towards the future of education with more opportunities for collaborative work and project-based learning.
Our strong and vibrant community starts with a strong and vibrant public school system. Chelsea has always supported this idea and I ask that on November 5th, you help support the schools with your vote.
