I am writing to support Amanda Nimke for Sylvan Township Clerk.
As reflected in her performance since being appointed Deputy Clerk and currently as Clerk serving out Ms. Kennedy’s term, Nimke brings experience to the position. Prior to her appointments, she regularly attended and participated in public comment of the Township Board and Planning Commission meetings.
Nimke is articulate, inquisitive, and thoughtful. She understands the unique position of Clerk serving in an agricultural township with vast open space dedicated to farming and recreation. Growing up here, she is keenly aware of the need to blend the rural and higher density urban areas.
As a member of the Sylvan Township Planning Commission for many years, I am confident that Nimke will work diligently to balance growth and development within the Township and surrounding communities. She is committed to representing all residents as the Township continues to change and move forward.
