Dear Chelsea Community:
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the Rivalry Match between the Chelsea Education Foundation and The Educational Foundation of Dexter!
This was one great Win-Win with nearly $46,000 raised to support the students in the school districts.
The fundraising started on Oct. 1 and culminated at the Oct. 22 football game between Chelsea and Dexter. The lead changed from Dexter to Chelsea; from Chelsea to Dexter; back and forth through the entire three-week duration.
Our original goal was $10,000 for each foundation. We blew past that with the final tally of $21,813 for Dexter and $24,099 for Chelsea.
Both foundations support their respective districts by providing funding for educational experiences that cannot be provided by district funding. We touch the lives of all students in the district. Both serve to connect the schools to business and community partners.
We want to thank Art Moehn Chevrolet Buick of Chelsea, Culver’s of Chelsea, Stieper & Brust Orthodontics, LaFontaine Chevrolet of Dexter, Chelsea State Bank and The Sun Times who helped support the fundraiser with over $4,000 in sponsorships.
