With letters to the editor appearing in my inbox and in my mailbox before the August primary, please note that the policy for having letters to the editor published includes publishing your full first and last name and town in which you live.
I also need your contact information, including a phone number, so that I can contact you personally if I have questions.
Your contact information will not be published, but many times I do have questions and I need to be able to speak to you directly about them.
And to the person who mailed me a letter without any return address or contact information, please contact me at 734-358-2912. I am more than willing to publish letters from Chelsea community members but I also adhere to a letters to the editor policy.
This year, the last day I will publish letters to the editor about candidates for the primary election is a week before the election. In this case, July 30.
