The proposed project, which includes building two medical professional buildings and 172 residential units on a 42-acre parcel located on Freer Road north of Old US-12, still may not be approved according to Lima Township Supervisor Craig Maier.

The Lima Township Board also approved rezoning 8855 Gross Road from RR (rural residential to AG-2 (agricultural 2) in a 3-2 (Elaine Bater and Nanette Havens against) vote.

In other action, CPA Pfeffer Hanniford & Palka of Brighton was voted by the board to become the township’s auditor for three years at a cost of $6,500 a year.

Also, the board voted to allow Thornton Farms Condominiums Association its request for Wastewater Treatment Facility improvement Funds of $100,000.

  1. I would really like to see the results of a public opinion survey on the Wolf development. My personal opinion is that it’s a supremely bad idea to add that kind of density to an area that couldn’t even support the traffic management of said area 10 years ago.

  2. I totally agree with Randy Ellis but Lima Township board really doesn’t want public input. They should hold a vote on this and their ill-advised new town ship hall. But they won’t.
