March 10: Breathe Yoga invites you to feed your body and mind with special workshop

March is National Nutrition Month and also the beginning of spring, which is the perfect time to reflect on establishing a fresh approach to how we feed our body and soul.

Nutrition and healthy eating are all about finding the right balance for you, and as we approach the spring equinox, daylight and darkness equal out – the perfect analogy for bringing balance to our lives and inviting a more nourishing, compassionate outlook for ourselves.

On Saturday, March 10 from 2-4 p.m., Breathe Yoga will be running a workshop in celebration of both spring and National Nutrition Month called “Feed your Body, Feed your Mind: A Yoga and Nutrition Workshop” to bring a healthier balance to both your life and your plate.

Led by Emily Seitz, who is both a registered dietician nutritionist and yoga instructor, this two-hour workshop will include a balancing yoga flow, followed by a discussion focusing on approaching nutrition in a way that supports your lifestyle and encourages both healthy eating and a healthy mindset towards our bodies.

Touching upon the ayurvedic principles of eating in season and mindfully, there will be recipe ideas and samples to try to get you started on your own spring cleaning.

The cost is $35.

Dress for yoga, bring your yoga mat, a water bottle and plenty of self love.
