The Chelsea Area Historical Society is offering a special history program, Katharine Dexter McCormick: A Champion of Women’s Rights, on March 10 from 7-8:00 p.m. at the Chelsea Depot.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Janet Ogle-Mater will recount the fascinating story of one lady’s unswerving pursuit for equal opportunity for American women. Katharine Dexter McCormick was born next door in Dexter, and she grew to be a tireless advocate of women’s rights. Dedicated and determined, she became a strong supporter of the woman’s suffrage movement, reproductive rights, and educational equality.

The presentation is free and everyone is invited.
