May 6: Chelsea High School Alums Invited to Tree Planting

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Shawn Sinacola-Rodriguez and the Arbor Club students for the information in this story.)

All Chelsea High School alums are invited to the Alumni Arbor planting at the high school Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

CHS graduates will be returning to school to plant a mature tree outside of the high school in their class’s designated location. We have a tree for every class from 1943 to 2017.

Check out the PDF above to see views of the master plan, which takes into consideration the planting of graduating classes’ trees for the next 100 years.

There will be free beverages with pizza and popcorn for sale. There will be a guest book and a Weeping Willow water color painting for graduates to sign, as well as music and a dedication ceremony at 3:30.

We will also be asking graduates to sign up for Chelsea Oral History Interviews.

Check out our CHS Alumni Arbor Facebook page for more info.
