Lane Animal Hospital recently announced that Lisa Redmond had joined them as the veterinary clinic’s second groomer.
Redmond joins the Lane Animal Hospital team with almost 25 years of experience as a professional pet stylist in grooming salons in the surrounding areas.
“Almost twenty-five years ago, a good friend suggested that I interview for a bathing position at the dog grooming shop that she currently worked at,” Redmond said.
“After being offered the job I discovered that I enjoyed the work and began my journey as a professional pet groomer. I took the chance that I was offered to mentor under two phenomenal groomers and after a while I decided to attend Paragon School of Professional dog grooming in Jenison, MI to further my skills,” she said.
Redmond said that after a couple of decades in the pet grooming business, she’s developed grooming, handling and safety skills that only come with years of experience.
“I am proud of my excellent safety record and all of the personal relationships that I have developed with not only the dogs I groom, but their people as well,” she said.
She is married to husband, Will and has two teenage boys as well as a large assortment of loved pets over the years. Currently, she has a very large, goofy Great Dane named Darwin that enjoys going hiking, camping, gardening and spending time outside with her. “Darwin is always by my side for every second of it,” she said.
In addition she has Jose, a chihuahua. “He’s my old man that’s not so fond of the big guy in the house right now,” Redmond said.
She prides herself in treating every pet with care and gaining their trust and is very excited to bring her extensive skill and passion to Lane Animal Hospital.
Redmond will be available for grooming Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and booking is now available.
Lucy Jones will have appointments available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well.
Lane is now back to six days a week of grooming.
