No-Cost ‘Matter of Balance’ Virtual Workshops

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Joyce Williams for the information in this story.)

Mix up your fitness regimen this fall by trying the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan’s A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls.

This virtual workshop helps older adults prevent falls and reduce the fear of falling. The workshop also helps participants safely increase their physical activity, learn strategies to prevent falls and improve balance and flexibility.

The workshop includes step-by-step instruction, helpful for those who have not exercised before or in a long time. The eight-week virtual workshop is open to any adult 65 and older. There is no cost to participate but donations are always welcome.
