The Chelsea Lions Club has decided not to have a dunk tank at the Chelsea Community Fair this year.
With a lack of membership in the club and the work that goes into getting the community to support the fundraiser by being dunk tank sitters, it’s no longer possible says Keith Bloomensaat.
If there is an organization that would like to see the dunk tank in operation for the future, contact Bloomensaat at 734-262-2122.
He says he’s willing to explain how the tank works and what work is involved to operate it safely.
The Chelsea Lions want to thank all who have participated in this event over the last 40 years.
“It was a great run and I’m sorry that it’s ending at this time,” he said.
