Nov. 17: Community Service of Remembrance

Special glass angel given to family members.

A community Service of Remembrance is being held on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. in the dining room of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea.

This non-denominational service is open to anyone who has lost a loved one in the past year.

The service, which is expected to last approximately one hour, will consist of speakers who will discuss grief during the holidays, reading of the names of those who have passed away, and lighting candles in their memory.

Each grieving family will be presented with a personalized memorial angel ornament.

After the service, light refreshments will be provided, along with a time to share memories and experiences. Brochures about coping with the holidays will be available.

There is no cost for the program, and pre-registration is not required.

The service is jointly sponsored by Cole Funeral Chapel, Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, and St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea.

Questions may be addressed to John Mitchell (475-1444) or Allen Cole (475-1551).
