Nov. 19: Learn about the new Agricole hybrid grocery store/farmers market

It’s a local grocery store. It’s a farmers market. It’s a coffee shop. It’s a social space.

All in one store, Agricole is coming to downtown Chelsea next year as the anchoring tenant in the renovated Mack Building at the corner of Main and Jackson streets.

On Monday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m., everyone is invited to the Chelsea Senior Center at 512 E. Washington St. to learn about Agricole, a new hybrid between a grocery store and a farmers market.

The project has been in the works for about two years, and was spurred on by efforts of Transition Town Chelsea.

The new business is on track to open in late spring or early summer of 2019.  Learn more about this store during this special presentation.

At least three of the four Agricole partners — Kathy Kennedy, Sharon Norton, Abby Hurst, and Patrick Zieske — will be here to drive the presentation.

Find out about what kinds of products Agricole will be offering.

See how a local-focused store energizes the community.

Consider the amount of money that circulates back to and through local farmers (you will be surprised how much).

Envision with us the social space we will be creating in and around the building.  Track the progress of the building renovation and take a first look at the floor plan.

Learn how the partners are raising startup capital.

Share your ideas with the partners.

This presentation is for customers, investors, producers, and all interested community members.

If you are a producer interested in carrying your products in Agricole, whether farm products or prepared foods, this is also a great opportunity for you to meet the people running the store.
