Just three more weeks left of the Chelsea Wednesday and Saturday outdoor farmer’s markets.
Stop by Wednesday for fresh apple cider and a large variety of apples.
You’ll also find plants and flowers, and an assortment of colorful vegetables including peppers, tomatoes, onions, green beans, eggplant, zucchini, corn, and gourds.
Seasonings will be for sale as well as herbs and honey.
Fresh baked goods including breads, cakes, and cookies will also be available.
The Wednesday Chelsea Outdoor Farmers Market will run from 1-5 p.m. and is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52. The Saturday Farmers Market takes place at Palmer Commons on Main Street from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
