(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kathy Claflin for the information in this story and the Waterloo Natural History Association for sponsoring the program.)

On Sunday, Oct. 14 from 2-3 p.m., learn about animal acoustics at the Discovery Center.

Nature is full of the sounds of animals – songs, screeches, buzzes, growls, and countless more. For this interactive program, the Howell Nature Center will bring a variety of noisy animals to the Discovery Center.

While you listen to the sounds these animals can make, you will learn how they help these creatures to survive and what adaptations they have for hearing the sounds of others.

Cost: $2/person or $5/family.

Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Road in Sylvan Township.

Advance registration strongly encouraged at 734-475-3170.
