Oct. 15: Transition Town Chelsea will hear presentation about water by expert

On Monday, Oct. 15, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Chelsea Senior Center, Transition Town Chelsea will hear a free presentation about water by Sheldon Smith.

He will give the group a first look at a presentation that he has been working on: “Water, Water, Everywhere… Where’s the Danger?  A 30,000 Foot View of Water”.

Topics include risk factors and the importance of measuring impurities such as arsenic, nitrates, and other farm contaminants. You can discover in his talk what’s important to you and possible steps to be in action around great water.

Smith has decades of experience in building and environmental technology, having designed and constructed many residential and commercial projects.  He earned degrees in science and architecture.

He works with teams consisting of environmental engineers, landscapers, designers, permaculturists, environmental sciences, planners, plus other relevant skills and trades.

The potluck meal begins at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation starts at about 7:15.  If you are coming to the potluck meal, please bring a dish to pass and your own place settings.
