Oct. 19: Chelsea House Orchestra’s 23rd annual hometown show

Chelsea House Orchestra’s (CHO) highly anticipated annual Hometown Show will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Chelsea High School.

This exciting show gives audiences in Chelsea and the surrounding areas a chance to see why this group of talented musicians has been in demand at events and festivals throughout the Midwest for over 20 years.

The Hometown Show will open with Beach Middle School’s Fiddle Club, featuring 4th-8th grade orchestra students, led by Nathan Peters.

Next, CHO welcomes the Craig Highland Dancers, led by Chelsea alumnus Jennifer Craig. Chelsea House Orchestra will then bring their toe-tapping “Celtic with a Kick” performance to the stage. Their set features Scottish and Irish traditional tunes and Celtic renditions of American folk songs, with inspirations from genres and cultural influences thrown in for fun.

After their spring tour in China and a busy summer performing at festivals throughout the region, CHO is excited to share their high-energy show with their hometown audiences. This lively and fun show will keep you clapping and smiling all evening long, with alumni joining in for the finale.

Proceeds from Hometown Show sales and donations go directly to the group for equipment costs, travel expenses, and other educational opportunities for the students.

Following the show, the audience is invited to enjoy the afterglow reception in the Commons.

Tickets for the Hometown Show are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and are available online and at the door beginning at 6pm the night of the show.
