On Oct. 28, there will be a Sandhill Crane Tour beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.
Local expert Bill Wells will show a film about Sandhill Cranes and then lead a driving tour to view them in the fields around the Waterloo Recreation Area. Visitors can expect to see large flocks of these magnificent birds at close range. Cost: $2/person or $5/family.
