The Washtenaw Whippets Field Hockey Team will host the quarter-final game of the Michigan High School Association’s Division 1 state championship today, Oct. 29.
The Whippets will compete against East Grand Rapids on Chelsea High School’s turf field at 5:30 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to attend and root for the Chelsea-based field hockey team.
The Whippets are ranked number two in Division I, an impressive standing, under last year’s state champion Ann Arbor Pioneer. The Whippets faced East Grand Rapids in the regular season, defeating them 2-0 and expects tough competition and a fast-action game.
The winner of Tuesday’s game plays on Oct. 31 in the semi-finals at Saline High School.
The state championship game is Nov. 2 at Saline.
Does anyone know where the field is? And about how long the match lasts?
